Gratitude

I want to say thank you to everyone that has helped me raise what I have so far. I have $850 left to raise, and I am so close!

For privacy issues, I'm not able to get the list of names of people who donated, and because of that I can't send out the proper thank you notes. So right now I would like to thank once again to everyone that has donated and supported me on this journey.

Making Strides

So, I want to thank all those that have donated so far. I only have $1600 left to raise! Any donations are helpful- so don't think that just because I'm close you should withhold a donation you otherwise would be giving. I've stated before- any extra will go to my team mates that haven't gotten as much support as I have. It's really important- and I think it's just another way God can use me.

My plane ticket was paid for today- I should get a receipt tomorrow.

Thanks again to everyone that has supported me this far- but there is still a long journey ahead. This blog isn't just for getting money, it's to help me record and share God's work through me.

Flight- Check.

It's been a while since I've updated. Between midterms, spring break, and travel plans, things have been pretty busy around here.I've been able to raise $2,550- which is more than enough to go ahead and get my plane ticket. Andrew is working on reserving that now- so I should have my ticket within the next week or two.

Getting my plane ticket makes this seem so much more real than it did before. In just 10 short weeks I'll be flying to the other side of the world to spend a summer. I'm so blessed by everyone that has supported me thus far- it means more than I can express.

As of now, I only need $3,550 left for my trip- I'm almost half way! A new batch of letters is going out next week- so if you haven't received a letter yet- you should be soon!

Again, thanks to everyone that has helped me get this far- I can't wait to see what God has in store for the next few months.

So, lately I've been stressing out because I really needed the money for my plane ticket as soon as possible. I know God was teaching me a lesson that I'm not always in control, and that he has his own timing- and boy have I learned that lesson. I'm glad to say that I now have $900 towards my plane ticket- I only need $600 more! Granted, after that I'll still need $4400, but this is a great step in the right direction.
I just want to take this time to thank all of the people who have donated- it means a great deal to me.
I'll keep this blog updated- as I'm sure God will be doing great things over the next week.

Flight

Today, I have some good news, and I have some bad news. My flight will cost $1500, which is less than I budgeted for- but the deadline is sooner than I expected as well. I need the $1,500 by mid-march, instead of end of March. Any donations help, but I've calculated that if every one of my Facebook friends donated $6 that my flight would be paid for. $6 is a venti coffee at Starbucks, a meal at McD's, or even the change in your car. I know God will provide, and I'm asking for your help.
